Nansledan – Duchy of Cornwall

Case Study: Low carbon, high performance new build timber system

Location

Nansledan, Cornwall.

Project Summary

Launched by a visit from King Charles III and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, this sustainable housing development owned by the Duchy of Cornwall showcases the best in high performing natural materials.

GRWN Group is supplying IndiNature's hemp insulation inside the off-site twin-walled timber frame systems from Sydenhams Timber Engineering, in partnership with Morrish Homes and LHC Design.

Energy assessments are for both operational and embodied carbon – which is where IndiNature's hemp insulation excels because it has the lowest embodied carbon on the market. 2,860 properties are planned for the site.
