Project Summary

This Passivhaus project prioritised natural, healthy and low embodied carbon materials. IndiTherm's hemp insulation was chosen for its added acoustic sound dampening properties in the separating floors – and the added benefit of not slumping or bending when installed overhead between joists.

Installers loved the fact no PPE was required to protect them from the typical skin and dust irritation from synthetic mineral wools.
