Feel good about your building
Product Benefits
Stores carbon
Unlike other insulations which emit huge amounts of carbon in production, ours actually do the opposite - they have a net capture of carbon.
Healthy
Our natural fibre insulations result in healthy indoor air with no toxic offgassing. Plus they are healthy and uniquely soft for builders to handle. Natural regulation of humidity also means reduced risks of damp and mould.
Preserves buildings
Natural fibre insulations are recommended by Historic Scotland and Historic England because they help preserve buildings – keeping structures dry. Our products have been tested for durability under extreme conditions.
Easy Build
Simple friction fit – just like other flexible insulations – but with the added advantage of being more rigid to resist slumping. Make sure you use a common ‘scalloped’ bladed insulation saw and keep it sharp - see our cutting guide on the Install Page.
Fire safe
Our products meet building regulations when installed according to guidelines.
Vapour breathable
Excess water vapour is safely transported out of buildings – keeping indoor air healthy and structures dry to add longevity to your building.
Warm in winter
Our products have good thermal performance to reduce heat loss (thermal conductivity).
Cool in summer
Unlike glasswool, rockwool and foam insulations, natural fibre insulations have the ‘smart’ ability to reduce the risk of buildings overheating – passively storing and releasing excess heat to keep temperatures nice and even all year long. This means excellent indoor comfort.
Complete system
IndiTherm® and IndiBoard® can be used separately, or together to create a highly energy efficient system called IndiBreathe® which reduces thermal bridging.
Locally farmed
Made in the UK with local farm crops, supporting local jobs and reducing carbon in transport.
Affordable
Price competitive - and not imported.
Natural fibres
We carefully select our fibre blends to optimise different performance features in different products - using natural fibres such as UK grown hemp, recycled jute, recycled cotton or flax for example.
Quiet acoustics
Outstanding acoustic noise reduction properties - our acoustic products are UKAS certified, achieving Quiet Mark quality approval and class A ratings.
Renewable resources
Unlike other insulations which use non-renewable oil-based foams or minerals, we use very fast-growing, renewable crops - grown in 4 months!
Circular
Unlike other insulations which end up in landfill, our products can easily be reused at end-of-life, or reprocessed into the same products. We have no fibre waste at our mill - all offcuts are reprocessed.
