ISO 9001 Quality Management Recognised
Making sure quality is core for UK grown & made natural fibre insulation, IndiNature’s Quality Management System is now recognised with ISO 9001:2015.

At the heart of making consistently good bio-based materials, the IndiNature team at all levels has been establishing practices and procedures, routines and habits that are customer focused and quality oriented.
Engaging with BSI ISO 9001 quality management systems standard has helped recognise and coordinate everything coming into place over our first 18months of production and sales.
IndiNature is a young company with a new team making new cleantech products, but has been able to move fast by drawing together a wealth of experience to ensure quality in manufacturing bio-based materials as part of the supply chain serving construction and other markets. Implementing ISO 9001 is a key milestone to supplying materials at scale.
Nina McKeown, IndiNature Supply Chain Manager, led the process and said, “The implementation of ISO 9001 has been a great challenge but thanks to the whole team effort we managed to do it in a short period of time. We have learned that almost all quality improvement comes via simplification of design, manufacturing, layout, processes, and procedures. As quality and improvements becomes a regular activity in our organization we strive for excellence”.

From initial training to audit stages, BSI has supported an excellent process. BSI Academy Tutor, Rebecca Thew, said:

Stage 2 Audit Success
Following BBA accreditation for our first product, IndiTherm, we’re proud to have achieved ISO 9001 for the company quality management system practices as a whole. This is another important milestone in our journey to supply carbon capturing, breathable, bio-based insulation at scale as part of the effort required to tackle climate change.
